Meaning
O loving Lord, sapphire-coloured One! If You ask what we need for the Margazhi bath, as our elders kept it: conches like Your milk-white Panchajanya, whose roar makes the whole world tremble; very great drums; singers of "Pallandu", long life to You; beautiful lamps; banners; and a canopy. O Lord who lay on a banyan leaf, grant us these.
