Meaning
Born as the son of one mother, that very night You went to grow up in hiding as the son of another. When Kamsa could not bear it and plotted evil, You brought his plan to nothing and stood like fire in his belly, O great and loving Lord! We have come asking for You. If You give us the drum, we will sing Your wealth, worthy of Lakshmi, and Your brave deeds, and our sorrow over, we will rejoice.
