Tiruppavai 24 · verse 497 of the four thousand
Meaning
Glory to Your feet, that measured this world that day! Glory to Your strength, that went there and destroyed southern Lanka! Glory to Your fame, that kicked the cart to pieces! Glory to Your anklet, when You flung the calf like a stick! Glory to Your goodness, that lifted the mountain as an umbrella! Glory to the spear in Your hand that wins and destroys the foe! Praising Your brave deeds again and again, we have come today to receive the drum. Have mercy on us.
