Meaning

(The girls wake a friend new to the vow.) Look, the birds are chirping! Do you not hear the great sound of the white conch calling from the temple of the King of birds, Garuda's Lord? Little girl, get up! He drank the poison with the demoness's milk, He kicked apart the deceitful cart; He is the Seed of all who rests on the serpent in the waters. Holding Him in their hearts, the sages and yogis rise slowly and say "Hari", and that great sound has entered our hearts and cooled them.
