Meaning
With the standing lamp burning, on a cot with ivory legs, on a soft bed, You lie with Your head on the breast of Nappinnai, whose hair is full of clustered blossoms. O broad-chested Lord, open Your mouth and speak! O lady of wide, kohl-lined eyes, you will not let your husband rise from sleep for even a moment; you cannot bear to be parted from Him at all. That is not right, and not fitting.
