Meaning

(A conversation at the door.) "Hey, young parrot, are you still asleep?" "Don't shout at me so shrilly, ladies, I am coming." "You are clever; we have long known your sharp tongue." "You are the clever ones. Let it be my fault, then." "Come out quickly! What else is there for you to do?" "Has everyone come?" "They have; come out and count them." Come and sing the Wondrous One, who killed the mighty elephant and can wipe out the strength of His enemies.
